Mathematics and Physics

Greetings to you all. It is a great pleasure for me to throw some light on the department events for “ZEAL”. Mathematics and Physics are subjects seen as enhancing a student’s ability in problem solving. The Mathematics and Physics Department is committed to fostering a comprehensive understanding of mathematical concepts and physical principles among students. Our mission is to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and promote problem-solving skills that are essential for success in the modern world.

Some of the achievements of the department include:

1. “Solar systems to supplement the Physics experiments” with a budget of FJ$5,000.00’, our department has been selected for the FIJI Water Foundation 2024 Classroom Grant.
2. TEAM Mathematics Competition (TMC)
   As this year unfolded, the department took part in Zonal Team Mathematics Competition (TMC) for all levels, organized by Fiji Mathematics Association. However, none of our teams qualified for the National finals.
   
   The Mathematics and Physics Department remains dedicated to academic excellence and student success. With continued support from the administration, CAS department of Ministry of Education and active engagement from students, we are optimistic about the future and the potential to achieve our targets.
   
   Finally, I wish to take this opportunity to thank the school administrators for their continuous guidance and support. I would like to thank the department teachers for their support and hardwork.
